ELABORATION

5 months of ageing “sur lie” with “batonnage” * in French oak barrels.
*Ageing on natural fine lees, which is raisaed at regular intervals during a period of time between 2 – 6 months.

COLOUR

Cherry.

NOSE

A striking aroma of red fruits: cherries and currants, with a base note that leads us to muscatel.

MOUTH

Balanced and spectacular fresh berry flavor, with marked acidity and a persistent finish of red fruits and licorice.

CLIMATOLOGY

The year 2023 was very dry and finally in 2024 the rains returned, although a little poorly distributed throughout the
year, with months of abundant precipitation and others excessively dry for the time of year.
In January it rained 80 ltr. In February 132 ltr of which 80 ltr fell on the 10th. It was not really cold until the end of
February, with many nights freezing. March was also very rainy, at the beginning and end of the month with a total
rainfall of 250 ltr. In April it only rained 10 ltr and in May none. The outbreak was in the first half of March and flowering
lasted from 10.05.24 to 26.05.24. In mid-June there was quite cold weather, and at the end of the month the first heat
wave, which caused significant fungal pressure on the leaf mass. July was very hot, with many days of 40ºC. The
veraison started on 08.06.24 and the harvest on 06.08.24 and ended on 03.09.24.
Heavy rainfall returned in October and November, while in December only 1 litre of rain fell. Autumn was mild and the
buds were able to recover many nutrients from the leaves and stems before pruning. In general it was a rainy year with
a total rainfall of 908 litres. However, the fact that there was no rain at all in May and the drastic drought of the
previous year caused a decrease in production, especially in the early varieties. The harvest was once again of
extraordinary quality and will provide us with very elegant, fresh wines with an incredible mineral/terroir touch.
